Sound quality is decent, nothing incredible, but average-good.
MEMPHIS > Rock Candy - The MEMPHIS jam sounds just like a MEMPHIS first jam should. Patient, great minimalism/repetition from Barber, good texturing from Magner, building into a nice house jam that starts heading towards Rock Candy. Rock Candy feels a litle too generic to me.
Magellan > Voices > Magellan - The jam out of Magellan is pretty boring, though it gets neat near the transition to Voices. The jam out of Voices is very cool, with Magner playing some neat riffs. The Magellan peak has an un-noted Fiddler tease, which sounds really cool, albeit brief.
Morph is great. Magner is all over this jam and really does some cool stuff. Really psychedelic dark dance music.
Reactor > MEMPHIS > Helix > Crix (><) > Shelby (><) > Cheese Eating Contest > Reactor - The Reactor jam doesn't do a whole lot for me. Some cool noises from Magner here and there but nothing solid enough for me. The jam out of MEMPHIS is very good, very patient. All around fantastic jam, really gets cool about three and 1/2 minutes from the track switch to Helix. There's the usual Helix jam from this period of time, which is at this point boring. Once they get out of the pre-determined chord jam, the jam into Crix is pretty straighforward as well, though does contain Gates Of Hell, which is always a welcome sound to my ears. The drop into the Crix peak comes from nowhere, and represents a good example of a BAD Crix peak. The 1st Crix jam is a neat little anomaly, because even though it doesn't go anywhere, the band is communicating extremely well. Very boring musically, but I'm sure that they had a blast playing it. The jam OUT of Crickets, however, is flat out AWESOME! Downtempo jam, Barber playing calm, soothing licks, and Magner with some really cool layering and the flute patch. Great, great jam. It's either this or Morph for jam of the night, but I think the flute patch puts this over the top. The Shelby peak is very well done. The Cheese Eating Contest essentially takes the place of the Shelby jam, unfortunately. The Cheese Eating Contest is explained by Brownstein, so I won't go into detail. The jam isn't all that interesting, and once they start the "real" jam, it's pretty clear it's headed for Reactor pretty quickly.
Overall, this show is pretty average. Both jams out of MEMPHIS, the Morph jam, and the Crix > Shelby are great, but the rest you can avoid downloading altogether.
